This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made by consumers through the ADJ STYLE website.
ADJ SRL complies with applicable European Union consumer protection legislation and with the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206/2005, as amended).

1. Right of Withdrawal
If you purchase a product online as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason within 14 days from the date on which you, or a third party appointed by you other than the carrier, physically receive the goods.
For orders consisting of multiple items delivered separately, the 14-day period begins on the day you receive the last item.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify ADJ SRL of your decision before the withdrawal period expires by means of an unequivocal statement, for example by email.
Please include, where possible:
- your name and contact details;
- order number;
- product(s) you wish to return;
- date of receipt of the order.
You may also use the model withdrawal form provided below, although its use is not mandatory. It is allowed either the statutory model form or any other clear statement communicating the decision to withdraw.
2. Return of Products
After notifying us of your decision to withdraw, you must return the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which you communicated your withdrawal.
The deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before the 14-day return period expires.
Products should be returned securely packaged and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging, together with any accessories, components and documentation supplied with them.
The customer is responsible for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
3. Return Shipping Costs
Unless ADJ SRL expressly agrees otherwise, the direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the customer.
This applies provided that the customer has been informed of this obligation before entering into the contract, as required by applicable consumer legislation.
For products that, because of their nature or dimensions, cannot normally be returned by standard postal service, information or a reasonable estimate of the return cost must be provided to the consumer before purchase. This point is particularly relevant for bulky items such as furniture.
Where a product is returned because it is defective, damaged or non-conforming and the guarantee applies, the consumer must not bear the costs necessary to bring the product into conformity.
4. Refunds
When the statutory right of withdrawal is validly exercised, ADJ SRL will reimburse all payments received for the returned goods, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered at the time of purchase.
If you selected a more expensive delivery method, such as express or special delivery, the additional cost is not required to be refunded.
The refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which ADJ SRL is informed of your decision to withdraw.
Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same means of payment used for the original transaction, without additional charges to you.
ADJ SRL may withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received or until you provide evidence that the goods have been dispatched, whichever occurs first.
5. Personalised and Made-to-Specification Products
The statutory right of withdrawal is not applied to the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
Accordingly, the right of withdrawal may be excluded for products specifically manufactured or modified according to an individual customer’s instructions, including, by way of example:
- bespoke dimensions;
- customised configurations;
- customised colours, materials or finishes selected specifically for the customer;
- personalised initials, names or text;
- logo engraving or embossing;
- other individual specifications agreed with the customer.
This exception does not mean that every product manufactured after an order is placed is automatically non-returnable. The exclusion applies where the product is genuinely made according to the customer’s specifications or is clearly personalised.
This section does not affect the customer’s statutory rights where a personalised or made-to-specification product is defective or does not conform to the contract.
6. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
The statutory right of withdrawal is separate from your rights under the guarantee of conformity.
If the product received is defective, damaged, incorrect or does not conform to the agreed specifications, please contact ADJ SRL as soon as reasonably possible, providing your order number and, where appropriate, photographs or other information allowing us to assess the issue.
New goods are covered by a two-year guarantee of conformity from the date of delivery. ADJ SRL, as the seller, is responsible for conformity defects that existed at the time of delivery and become apparent during the statutory period.
In the event of a lack of conformity, the consumer is generally entitled in the first instance to have the product repaired or replaced free of charge. Where the statutory conditions are met and those remedies are unavailable or inappropriate, the consumer may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract.
The action relating to conformity defects not fraudulently concealed by the seller is subject to a limitation period of 26 months from delivery.
For defects appearing within one year of delivery, it is presumed that the lack of conformity already existed at the time of delivery unless the seller proves otherwise or the presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the defect.
7. Products Damaged During Return
Customers are requested to package returned products appropriately and securely.
Where damage occurs during a return organised by the customer because the product was inadequately packaged or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it, ADJ SRL may take the resulting loss in value into account, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This does not affect returns relating to defects or non-conformity covered by the statutory guarantee.
8. Business Customers
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal and the consumer legal guarantee described above apply to consumers, meaning natural persons acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
Purchases made by companies, professionals, architects, interior designers, distributors, hotels, restaurants or other customers acting for professional or commercial purposes are governed by the applicable contractual and sales conditions and do not automatically benefit from the consumer protections described above.

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy excludes, restricts or replaces any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable Italian or European Union law.
Where any provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection legislation, the mandatory statutory provisions will prevail.
